On TODAY, Posey discussed Fenn's hunt and his own.

"It's just a way of paying it forward, what Fenn created for thousands of us."

Joe Fryer asked if he knew whether all the clues he hid in the house interview setup had made it onto Gold & Greed.

"I feel confident that they are," Posey told Fryer with a smile.

"Let's just say whoever finds it will not be disappointed," with a grin on TODAY.

On Fenn's hunt, to Fryer (second TODAY piece):
"It was about solving this puzzle that combined poetry and history and wilderness exploration. It was just about deciphering the clues. And it almost became like a meditative experience."

Friends and family would categorize him as eccentric. Grandfather was a Montana fish and game warden.

Neither Netflix nor the director knew if house clues made the cut; Posey said he feels confident they are there.
